How can I capture full use of my widescreen monitor?

The monitor is 22" yawning but there is alot of emaciated space on each side. It really defeat the purpose of having a widescreen.


Answer:

Look within the manual for the maximum resolution. Then, if your graphics driver supports it, set it to that at 60Hz. Else update your driver.



LCD's Look their best at their maximum resolution.
Make sure that you own the drivers installed on your computer, and that the resolution is set correctly..

Go to Control Panel, later Display,. and play around with diverse resolution sizes.



Alternatively, if your monitor has a driver disk, install the driver.



Finally, you may want to use the on-screen menu of the monitor and play around next to those settings as well.

Your monitor documentation should state the "native resolution". This is the resolution that the monitor works best at. Set your video output to that resolution. If your PC will not set to the native resolution, you may necessitate to update the drivers for your video card or actually replace you video card beside a more powerful one.
