I enjoy a dell 4600 and an 18" lcd (yeah 18 is an awkward number for an lcd) dell monitor. i wanted to make the addition of another one but since it's gotten pretty difficult to find another 18" monitor i was gonna acquire another 17" or 19" monitor. I actually be thinking about getting a 19" widescreen but be wondering if there would be difficulties near the two screens different resolutions. Any info just about how to set up some monitors (i'm upgrading my video card to a AGP 8x nvidia 7800GS card so that won't be a problem). Just really wanted to know roughly anyone's experience and what would happen beside different native resolutions (normal 1280x1024 and widescreen 1440x900) if they be plugged into one video card. Thanks!
Answer:
you will have to run both at the lowes home-grown res, the big one will automatically interpolate the image to fit, but will be blurry so it will not be particularly nice picture for reading text
This card will work lacking any problems with two monitors, you in recent times have to connect them beside proper cables to illustrative card and then contained by Windows desktop right-click to choose screen properties after go to settings tab and you will see two big icon with number '1' and '2' - right click on the one near 2 and choose 'connected' thats all - you can hold different resolutions on both monitors, you setup resolutions by choosing 1 or 2 icon and varying resolution slider in alike setup window - it's duly easy , hold fun :)
