is this a especially old computer? maybe this is all it can support? Have you ever be able to run at sophisticated resolutions? can you provide any details on the machine?
Most feasible your computer is using the default (minimum) driver for video, and not the specific one for the card that's really within there.
You must install the correct driver from the driver disk that hopefully come with your system? Since you are already using the showing minum capability, you could delete the drive from the Device Manager and tolerate Windows self-detect the right video card.
is your computer old? if its really ripened, maybe that's the single option you enjoy. are you running windows xp? if you are, later right click on the desktop, select properties, go to the tab labeled "settings" and consequently chose the advanced option within the lower right corner. then stir to the tab labeled "adapter" and chose the "list all modes" route in the bottom vanished corner. that should give you adjectives the resolutions. just choose the one from here.
You probably need to sign within as administrator to make those charitable of changes if you no the administrator password on the system
