I own a spare Samsung CRT monitor 17 size. I am interested to use it as TV, but without using the CPU. Any perfect suggestions & how much it would cost to do so ? Thanks
Answer:
Buy a GADMEI TV Box. It works without a PC.

Depends on what inputs you enjoy on the monitor. If you have composite, s-video or component contained by, you can hook it right to a cable box or VCR/DVD. If not, you might be able to capture a converter to go from your cable box and renovate the signal to an RGB(D-sub) or DVI signal. Check Radio Shack, they have adjectives kinds of doodads for that kinda piece. With some clever converter purchases, I'm sure you can do it.
its immposible you have to enjoy a thinking machine which is the processor and a video card ofcourse! ot if your monitor have a TV IN you don't need anything!!
It is possible to replace the picture tube. However, this is potential to be both expensive and possibly time consuming with respect to adjustment like purity and convergence. When replacing:
Discharge both the out-of-date and new tubes earlier you start to be sure you won't have any unpleasant surprises.
Take extreme strictness when handling - at the very smallest, a slip can result in a broken d¨|colletage and a bad and expensive morning.
If you had a notebook you could add a tv tuner card to it and plug that into a your monitor after you could have tv on that monitor but trying to build a tv from a monitor could be concrete and dangerous capacters inside hold a charge resembling a battery one touch could fry you!
